As summer blesses us with an abundance of fresh ingredients, I find myself deep in the cycle of stocking up — pulling from my garden, visiting farmer’s markets, grocery stores, and even specialty shops to prepare for the colder months ahead.
Not all the ingredients I rely on are easy to grow, and while I dream of a property with a year-round greenhouse and a big garden to truly sustain us, I work with what I have. These long, sunny days come with their own kind of busyness — especially keeping up with growing children who somehow manage to sleep 12 hours a night and still eat everything in sight once the fridge is full!
As I prioritize what our family will need for fall and winter, I was tickled to find out that Mountain Rose Herbs is having a flash sale (use promo code ORGANIC20)— the perfect opportunity to stock up on some essentials I don’t grow myself. If you’re also in your stocking-up season, it might be worth a peek!
